Babi Elzevir

Elzevir Ancien is a typeface produced by the Elzevir family, the largest printing house in the Netherlands during the Renaissance - Baroque period.

Elzevir first appeared in printed works in 1669 (some claim it dates back to 1662). The typeface was created by the punch cutter - Christoffel van Dijck - who is considered one of the greatest punch cutters of his time. Elzevir was used for many book in the Elzevir printing house and later became famous throughout Europe for its readability, even considered the most beautiful typeface of its time, while some others considered it as boring like Dutch people.
